Instagram is doing whatever it can to make the app more appealing and flexible for its users by occasionally refining or changing its features.
The photo and video-sharing company has rolled out a new feature, and it has got something to do with your friends’ or followers’ photos.
Instagram announced on Tuesday that users can now “remix” images.
Also, Instagram announced that photo and video replays can now be played more than once.
In the past, photo and video messages expire after being replayed once.
How It Works
So, how does the photo “remixing” work?
When viewing a photo message from a friend or follower, the user just taps the camera icon at the bottom and capture a reply.
The reply will include a sticker of what the user is responding to.
“Move and resize it, and add your own twist with stickers, text, and drawings. You can remix photos back and forth for a fun visual of your conversation,” Instagram’s announcement said.
With regard the replay of photo and video messages, Instagram said a user “can now also control replays.”
There are two options to choose from – One View (for messages you want your friends or followers to only see once) and Allow Replay (to allow your friends or followers have more time to view your message).
“Photos and videos sent with “Allow Replay” loop automatically and your friends can tap and hold to pause,” Instagram said.
The updated features, Instagram added, “are part of version 24 for iOS and version 24 on Android.”
Instagram has been modifying its features now and then to make the app more interactive and perhaps keep its millions of monthly users.
