There are those of us who’d multi-task to get as much work done as possible in a day.
While most work organizations favor multi-tasking, studies have shown that it can actually reduce productivity by as much as 40 percent.
Forbes contributor Lisa Quast cited a New Yorker article that said only two percent of workers are good multi-taskers while the remaining 98 percent doesn’t do the skill so well.
Shifting Back and Forth From One Task to Another Isn’t Being Efficient
Quast said most of those who multi-task are “actually shifting back and forth from one task to another,” and that is not an efficient way of doing things because “each time we do it, it takes our brain some time to refocus.”
But with the Saent Productivity Solution, the device can keep digital and physical distractions at bay so you can focus on your task.
Digital distractions come in the form of unproductive websites and apps.
A Mashable article Russell Haines and Tim Metz developed the Saent Productivity Solution “to help people be less distracted, more productive (finishing tasks efficiently and on-time), and most importantly, end up with a more balanced state of mind.”
Aside from blocking distractions at work, the solution helps the user develop healthier work habits and do better work with a single button.
When combined with the app, the solution provides the user “a full-scale productivity solution that will train him or her work more efficiently. “
Aside from Mashable, the solution had been Fast Company, Quartz, and Newsweek, with Productivityist founder Mike Vardy describing the solution as “one of the most promising productivity devices” he’s seen in a long time.
The device connects via USB or Bluetooth and is compatible with Mac OS X 10.8 or later. It is being sold for $49.99, which is 36 percent off its original price of $79.
Saent has come up with a productivity solution that helps a user keep away distractions at work to help him or her focus on the job at hand.
